My original painting, The Martyrdom of Uthman Ibn Affan ra

I was inspired to paint this piece when I learnt more about the Caliphate of Uthman In Affan ra and his martyrdom. The Rightly guided Caliph Uthman ra refused to have any muslim blood spilt in his cause/defense despite knowing that some of the muslims wanted to kill him. He was reading quran when the evil doers entered his house. When they carried out what they intended to do, it was said that a drop of his blood fell on the ayah that translates to "Allah will suffice you against them." I highlighted this verse by painting it in red and underlining it with the book mark.
